KAAT has won Mention Award in the II Stage Prequalified competition for SCADA GES Data Production Center in Konya, Turkey. The new building will be located in the middle of a 20 million sqm solar farm.

The largest solar power plant project in Turkey is carried out in the district of Konya Karapınar. Karapınar is the only land in Turkey considered as a desert. The SCADA Headquarters Building, which is expected to be built within the scope of the competition, is the management unit of the project. For this reason, the SCADA central building will form the core of the solar power plant project that spreads over a very large area.

KAAT proposes a structure that minimizes the carbon footprint and is produced by the cultivation of the existing soil, inspired by the desert-like landscape and the desolation of the place. Although the project is an office building, it also serves as a visitors’ center.
